What am I actually paying for?
Your £4.99 a month puts your registration and VIN on the Protect A Plate register. When a registered supplier is asked to make plates with your registration, the request is checked against that record and you are alerted immediately — before the plates are made.

Because protecting a second or fiftieth registration takes the same work as the first. Every plan is £4.99 per vehicle per month — plans exist only to bundle the number of vehicles you need, not to change the rate.
Can I add more vehicles later?
Yes. Add the vehicle in your dashboard and, if it takes you past the number your current plan covers, you will be asked to move up to a plan that covers it. Your protection carries over — nothing is re-registered.
Can I cancel at any time?
Yes. You can cancel from your account at any time, with no notice period and no exit fee. Cancellation takes effect in line with the terms shown at purchase — normally at the end of the billing period you have already paid for — after which monitoring and alerts stop.

No. Every plan is billed monthly and rolls on until you cancel. There is no minimum term, no setup fee and no charge for changing plan.
How is payment taken?
Card payments are handled by Stripe, which is also where your card details are stored — we never hold them ourselves. Your subscription renews monthly on the date you signed up.
What if I subscribed in the iPhone or Android app?
Subscriptions bought in the app are billed by Apple or Google rather than by us, so manage or cancel those in your App Store or Google Play subscription settings. The protection you get is identical either way; the store price is the one shown to you at purchase.
Do number plate suppliers pay anything?
No. Registered suppliers join the verification network free of charge, with no membership fee and no per-check cost. The network is only effective when suppliers are on it.

Get in touch and we will set the account up for you. Larger fleets are onboarded by our team so bulk registration, billing and reporting are configured around how you operate.

Yes. Once you are registered, a supplier asked to make plates with your registration sees that it is protected, and you are alerted to the attempt. You also build a dated record and alert history you can show to the police, the DVLA, TfL or your insurer.
